Hello, friends! It is Mai. Last Saturday my brother and I visited a craft village near our suburb. The village is a famous tourist attraction because of its pottery. First we looked around the small shops in the old street. An artisan welcomed us into his workshop. He showed us how to make a small pottery cup. His family has handed down this skill for a long time. My brother wanted to make one too, but his cup looked strange. Next we had speciality food at a small stall. The fragrance of the rice cake was lovely. The village has few facilities, but all the families get on with each other. They preserve their old customs and welcome every tourist. Before we left, I wanted a handicraft for Mum. The artisan showed me where to buy an original one. The shop put it in a paper bag, not a plastic bag.
