A Weekend on My Uncle's Farm
159 từ5 câu hỏi
Hello Peter! Thank you for your email about city life. Last weekend I stayed on Uncle Minh's farm, and I loved every minute. The farm sits beside a vast paddy field, and it was more picturesque than any photo. On Saturday morning we fed the cattle before breakfast. Then Uncle showed me how to milk a cow, but I was not as quick as he was. In the afternoon a combine harvester cut the crop in the dry field. I helped load the rice bags, and later we unloaded them near the house. At noon we rested in an orchard full of orange trees. On Sunday a small ferry took us across the river to visit Uncle's friends. They were very hospitable and shared a local speciality with us. It was the best dish I have had this year. Next summer I want to cultivate a small garden myself. Please write to me about your holidays! Your friend, Nam.
