Our school wants clean energy this year. This week workers are putting solar panels on the science building. Why are they doing this? The panels produce electricity from the sun, and solar energy is renewable. It will be available for many years, so we will not run out of it. Non-renewable sources are limited, so we should reduce them. Students also study how to reduce electricity at home. Mr Ba says we should turn off every light bulb when we go out of a room. In winter we should not overheat our classrooms. In summer we should not overcool them. Our town has wind energy and hydro energy too. Some families have solar panels on their roofs now. Small things like these can help our planet. I am proud of my school!
